Floridia Mascarpone is a coagulated cheese made from fresh pasteurized cow’s milk. Mascarpone is milky white in colour and is an excellent alternative to double cream in both sweet or savory dishes. Floridia Mascarpone has a thick spoonable texture and is extremely versatile, can be used to thicken and enrich risotto and in Italian desserts such as the very popular Tiramisu.
Note: Consider skipping coffee at the end of your meal and instead have one of these heavenly mousses! Tip: using thickened cream makes a softly set mousse. For a firmer dessert add a little dissolved gelatine to the Mascarpone mixture. Serves 6-8.
